Introducing DuWanna Moore – our guest for Episode 38 July 3rd

My name is Duane Redmond and I create the illusion of DuWanna Moore.  I am currently employed  for the past 9 years as a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines based in Baltimore Maryland but moving to Sin City (Las Vegas).  I started my career in the art form of Female Impersonation over 15 years ago in Milwaukee Wisconsin….winning my first bar title as Miss Club 219.  Starting my competition stage in the USA System which we know now as Miss USofA…Winning Miss Wisconsin USofA my second year out.  From there capturing Miss Gay Great Lakes USofA, Miss Black Wisconsin, Miss WI EOY, Miss Greenbay America…taking on the title of what they call me “Wisconsin Royalty”. Upon moving from Wisconsin to San Francisco, I work for a short while there at the famous bars Kimo’s and Harvey’s.  Along with performing I was also doing cheerleading with Cheer San Francisco, traveling to several Pride Events across California, Chicago, Washington, DC, and having the honor of performing at the Gay Games in Amsterdam.  At this time I also started working for Southwest Airlines and was relocatd to Baltimore Maryland when the Flight Attendant/Pilot Based opened.

Taking time off from female impersonation to find my strengths and goals after moving to Baltimore, I focused on helping others with achieving there goals in anyway I could and finding myself and what I wanted.  Assisting dressing someone, dancing, props, traveling I learned more and more about this business and where I fit.  Learning at the time about the USA UNLIMITED FAMILY and knowing that I wanted to become MISS USA CLASSIQUE,  I had to get myself back into competition. I entered Miss Maryland America placing First Alternate my first year back and going on to Nationals placing 12th overall and winning Talent in my group.  While learning more about USA UNLIMITED SYSTEM and what I needed, I put myself out there my first year there in 2007 I was First Runner Up to Miss Farah McCray.  Learning from my mistakes and being persistent I came back this past year and won Miss USA CLASSIQUE 2008 (back where I started orginally).  You  can also catch me when not on the road producing my show at The Hippo in Baltimore MD, every 3rd Friday of the month where my show DuWanna Moore Presents…… brings in not only local but National entertainers.

And if there is anything I leave with New Girls in the system is DREAMS DO COME TRUE…you just have to STUDY, WATCH, LEARN and have PATIENCE…AS WE CANNOT CHANGE OUR PAST BUT YOU CAN CREATE YOUR FUTURE.
